Interschool Poetry Competition 2018

Our 14th Annual Interschool Poetry Competition was held in our hall at Millsite on June 7th. Fifteen schools took part in the event this year. Candidates, one student per category, showed commitment and enthusiasm as they recited the poems they had chosen. Daffodils, kites, bees, books, friends, a noisy house and even a warm sun in June filled our hall as each poem was recited.

All candidates received a present for taking part: pencils for first graders and books for older students. Medals and certificates were awarded following the adjudicators assessment.

Congratulations to our 2018 Barker Poetry Team! Ludmila G. and Angela C. S. received certificates of merit, Federica S. and Juana J. obtained silver medals and Juan Ignacio M. T. and Julia M. B. were awarded gold medals.
